It's been one and a half years since my last Journal post, so I figured I should post an update of some sort...
I'm generally not the kind of person that is very talkative in those aspects/situations (journal posts, comments, etc.), so I decided to post a journal to address a few things.
Foremost, a heartfelt Thank You
to everyone who watches me, posts supporting comments to my vectors, shares the vectors, and letting me know (and crediting me) when my vectors are edited, used, modified etc.
Now onto the rest (I'll keep it short and simple).
My activity here has been very sporadic due to IRL work/issues, alternative interests, and lack of artistic motivation. The good: I will not stop in the immediate future. The bad: my activity will continue to be low (if that is an issue to anyone).
Use of my Vectors
There are many artists who keep asking me if they can use/edit my work. With my current sporadic activity, I do not reply promptly to many comments (or at all...). To make it easier, I will just state my view on this matter. You are free to use & edit my vectors to your heart's content
(hence why I almost always provide the original files for download), as long as proper credit is given
, and not used for commercial purposes
For details, look through Creative Commons
or look at the license details under the License
section of my submissions (usually the bottom right on the screen).
As long as what you
want to do with my vectors meet the above requirements
, I will be fine with it.
I promised that I will be making more tutorials on making vectors in Illustrator. I have plans on meeting the promise but cannot guarantee when I will be able to finish them. They take considerable time, planning/organizing, and effort. So I appreciate your patience.
Among the other reasons for my submissions being infrequent is the fact I did not submit a few works at all. They are incomplete either due to me losing interest or not being satisfied with the outcome. If there is enough interest, I will try to set up a compilation or vector dump of some sorts. Potentially, I may add some notes/explanations for each piece within the dump.
Thanks for reading if you've gotten that far. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll reply as promptly as possible. TL: DR
Thank you for watching, my activity is low, use my vectors under these requirements
, tutorials are planned, and vector dump with enough interest.
